Vintage-Barschilder
Two Fat Blokes haben eine neue Reihe von Kneipenschildern im Stil der 40er entworfen. Die Designs sind von den Londoner Kneipenschildern der Brauereien Shepherd Neame und Fullers inspiriert. Matt, unser führender Guru und Chefdesigner, arbeitete viele Jahre in London für eine auf Brauereischilder spezialisierte Designagentur, bevor wir Two Fat Blokes gründeten. Kneipenschilder stammen aus der Römerzeit und mussten seitdem ständig weiterentwickelt werden. Unsere neue Reihe von Vintage-Schildern weist alle einen vertrauten Designstil mit einem illustrierten Bild auf, das zum Kneipennamen passt, einen Kneipennamen in einer halbrunden Schriftart, ein Gründungsdatum und einen Slogan am unteren Rand des Schildes vor einem dunklen Hintergrund. Abschließend ein schwarzer Rand mit einem Nadelstreifen, der zur Haupthintergrundfarbe passt. Hier also ein Blick auf einen Teil des neuen Sortiments und wie jedes einzelne davon zustande kam.
Das Vape Inn
Als das Rauchverbot in Kraft trat, änderte sich der Besuch der örtlichen Kneipe oder des Clubs. Vorbei sind die Tage rauchgefüllter Räume, in denen Männer und Frauen Pfeife und Zigaretten rauchten. Dann wurde auch unser Dampfen verboten. Wir haben dieses als die Essenz eines alten Gentleman-Clubs entworfen, mit der perfekten Kombination aus einem Pint Ale und einer SMOK-Dampfmaschine von unserem bevorzugten Dampflieferanten www.provape.com . Auf diesem Schild verwenden wir das Wortspiel aus dem Zungenbrecher – Ich bin kein Fasanenrupfer, ich bin ein Fasanenrupfersohn, ich rupfe nur Fasane, bis die Fasanenrupfer kommen. Das Bild ist ein Fasan mit einem Pint und einem Scotch.
Der beschwipste Tukan
Es wurde speziell für Liebhaber irischen Stouts entworfen und zeigt einen abgebildeten Tukan als Anspielung auf die Guinness-Werbung der frühen 1930er Jahre, die später jahrzehntelang zum Synonym für die Marke wurde. Unser Design zeigt den Tukan, ein Pint des schwarzen Zeugs und ein kleines Glas irischen Biers vor einem türkisfarbenen Hintergrund.
Das Feuerwehrauto
Speziell für den Gewinner des Pub Shed des Jahres entworfen, für einen ehemaligen Feuerwehrmann, der jetzt im Ruhestand ist. Der Gewinner war Kevin im The Engine House mit seinem erstaunlichen Gartenschuppen, der sowohl ein Museum für die Feuerwehr als auch ein Pub ist. Mit einem Feuerwehrauto aus den späten 1940er Jahren.
Das Stumble Inn
Ein wunderbar einfaches Kneipenschild, bei dem der Name das Schlüsselelement des Schildes ist und die Idee „Stolpern in die Gartenkneipe“ vermittelt. Ein allzeit beliebter Name für die Kneipenhütte, ein klassischer kastanienbrauner Hintergrund mit goldener Schrift und einem Pint Bernsteingold.
Der letzte Halt
Entworfen mit einem Spiel mit dem Hauptbild, das den klassischen Londoner Routemaster der 1950er Jahre zeigt, der bis 2005 lief, bevor er durch den Boris Bus ersetzt wurde. Die Idee hinter dem Schild ist, dass die Kneipe im Hintergarten Ihre letzte Anlaufstelle sein wird, wenn Sie von der Arbeit oder aus dem Pub nach Hause kommen. Wieder mit einem Pint dunklem Ale, goldener Schrift und rotem Hintergrund.
Der eingelegte Molch
Hier noch ein Wortspiel: Statt „as P***ed as a newt“ haben wir das freundlichere „Pickled as a newt“ verwendet. Der Name soll von der Royal Navy stammen. Zu Lord Nelsons Zeiten waren Fähnriche als „Newts“ bekannt und man brauchte nicht viel Grog, um sie betrunken zu machen. Daher der Ausdruck „p***ed as a newt“. Unser Schild zeigt einen Molch in einem Glas Champagner auf grünem Hintergrund und den Flaschenkorken samt Drahtkorb.
Das Hundehaus
Wahrscheinlich der beliebteste Name für Hinterhofkneipen. Diese Version zeigt einen Basset Hound, der neben einem Pint und einem Scotch sitzt, mit kastanienbraunem Hintergrund und goldener Schrift. Wir bringen weitere Schilder mit der Aufschrift „Dog House Bar“ heraus. Wenn Sie also eine Hunderasse haben, die Sie gerne auf dem Schild hätten, sagen Sie uns Bescheid.
Hotel Smokin Inn
